Amazing VR Modded RPG Stealth Adventure Game! | Ghost Of A Tale VR Mod Gameplay & How-To

Let's play Ghost of a Tale in VR, an amazing RPG game with stealth adventure story driven gameplay that finally has Virtual Reality support thanks to a custom VR Mod! Ghost of a Tale is now a beautiful VR Adventure RPG game in a medieval world of dungeons and castles, with a challenging stealth action game style that we can now enjoy in VR on HTC Vive, Oculus Rift and WMR headsets! Ghost of a Tale (GoaT) is a single-player third-person stealth and action game with exploration and light RPG elements, and it is mostly being developed by one person - Lionel Gallat of Seith CG. The game is now fully playable in VR with room scale support, using a custom Virtual Reality mod for Unity engine games, called VRGIN.Template. In this Ghost of a Tale VR gameplay video, I'm the first YouTuber ever showing off how the game works in Virtual Reality using a HTC Vive headset. After a short gameplay, I'm doing a full how-to tutorial on how you easily can apply this VR mod and start Ghost of a Tale in virtual reality on any PC VR headset. Get Ghost of a Tale on Steam or GOG: https://store.steampowered.com/app/417290/Ghost_of_a_Tale/ https://www.gog.com/game/ghost_of_a_tale Big thanks goes to the user music2169 (https://www.reddit.com/user/music2169) on Reddit who hinted me about this game working with the current VR mod! Give him a thanks and a big hug guys! :) Timeline: 00:00 Intro 01:33 Ghost of a Tale VR gameplay & introduction 30:02 How to install the VR Mod & start the game 32:03 How to configure Ghost of a Tale in VR 34:16 Additional game config & settings for VR 37:21 Final words and my first impressions How to mod and play Ghost of a Tale in VR: 1. Get a copy of Ghost of a Tale from Steam or GOG and install the game. 2. Download the VR Mod "VRGIN.Template-1.1.zip" from https://github.com/Eusth/VRGIN.Template/releases/ 3. Unzip it and copy/paste all of its content into the installation folder of Ghost of a Tale (main folder where .exe is located). 4. Drag and drop the Ghost of a Tale executable file (GoaT.exe) onto the IPA.exe file. You will see a dos windows open, show some text and shortly close itself. A new shortcut called "GoaT (Patch & Launch)" will be automatically created in the same folder. 5. Start SteamVR to make it run normally on your HTC Vive, Oculus RIft or WMR headset. 6. Double click on the GoaT (Patch & Launch) shortcut (that was created in step 4). 7. Press on F12 key on your keyboard to align yourself to the main menu window in your VR headset if necessary, and start a new game from the main menu (or load existing save). 8. IMPORTANT: Once game is started, some tweaks are necessary to get it to work properly (you need to do this every time). Do these 3 steps in the following order: - Press Ctrl + C on your keyboard once - Press Ctrl + V on your keyboard once - Press F5 on your keyboard once 9. Game should now be fully working in VR, both using mouse+keyboard or gamepad. 10. Additional notes: I really recommend you to open the VRsettings.xml file inside ghost of a tale folder (that file is created first time you start the game in VR) with Notepad for example. In here you can edit some game options, VR settings and in-game super sampling. Check the video from 34:16 for more info about the settings. 11. And remember: Every time you start the game you will have to do the procedures in Step number 8 above (Ctrl + C, Ctrl + V and F5) to get the proper view. 12. Enjoy all :) Ghost of a Tale in VR is just amazing!
