Cave Digger is an upcoming room-scale mining game for SteamVR-compatible headsets that places you deep into the Earth using your handy mining elevator and a number of mining tools and devices to extract valuable resources.
Created by Finland-based indie studio VRKiwi, the game takes place in the confines of the mining elevator, letting you gain greater resources so you can mine deeper into the unknown. Teleporting around the elevator, you can mine away at the exposed walls with your own two hands, which hold within them valuable resources such as oil, fossils, and various gems that you have to collect.
Cave Digger equips you with increasingly expensive tools to take you farther into the Earth’s core including your trusty pickax, mining drills, and dynamite so you can uncover more and more and more.
“How much money is enough? Will you be able to stop? What happens if you don’t? The Answer to these questions and more lay at the bottom of the mine,” the studio writes on the game’s Steam page.
Cave Digger is slated to release for free on May 10th, and supports SteamVR-compatible headsets including Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and Windows VR headsets.
