HALF LIFE 1 VR MOD NEW UPDATE! | Now Fully Playable in Virtual Reality on HTC Vive

Let's play Half Life 1 in VR on HTC Vive again, this time with a modified VR MOD version that fixes most of the previous issues. With this fully playable Virtual Reality Mod for Half Life, we can do free locomotion using the Vive controllers, as well as jump and crouch in room-scale, we have fixed scaling and we can progress in the game without cheating or using hacks. First off, to play Half Life in Virtual Reality, you need the original game from Steam, so grab it now: http://store.steampowered.com/app/70/HalfLife/ Note that this is not the official version of the Half Life VR Mod created by Max Vollmer, but its based on same source code, so huge thanks to both Max Vollmer once again for this lovely VR Mod, and big thanks to ronin on Reddit for building this modified version. Download the .zip file containing the modified VR Mod from this link: https://pixeldra.in/u/hx6Z03 2. Extract the zip file into your installed root directory of Half-life. 3. Important: When extracted, set the "Read-Only" permissions in Windows on the file opengl32.dll to disallow file deletion, otherwise the file gets deleted when you start the game. 4. Use start.bat to launch Half Life with the VR Mod. 5. First time, go into game settings and turn off Full Screen mode (set it to Windowed, otherwise you will have problems using the main menu, doing game saves etc. on your PC monitor) 6. Enjoy Half Life VR on your HTC Vive! Note that this VR Mod also works with Oculus Rift, but the free locomotion with the Oculus Touch thumb-stick is glitchy, so I would recommend you to play this Half Life VR mod only with the HTC Vive for now...
